IUC & PLATFORM Matchmaking Uganda - May 2012
VLIR-UOS welcomed delegations from 8 Ugandese universities during the Uganda IUC & PLATFORM Matchmaking, from 7 until 10 May 2012.
The call for Flemish interest i snow closed. Flemish academics (from Flemish universities or university colleges) who were interested in the cooperation with one of the Ugandan universities or the Ugandan PLATFORMS, could submit their candidacy until 15 May. However, indication of interest for team membership is not milited in time.
The presentations of the partner universities, as shown on Tuesday 8 May, are available online.

On
25 May 2012 the appointment of the Flemish academics will be discussed at
level of the Bureau UOS.

IUC & NETWORK Matchmaking Cuba, Ecuador, Vietnam and Tanzania - April 2012
VLIR-UOS welcomed South delegations from the preselected universities in Cuba, Ecuador, Tanzania and Vietnam during the IUC & NETWORK Matchmaking, from 19 until 27 April 2012.

On 14 May 2012 the appointment of the Flemish academics was discussed at level of the Bureau UOS and further communication with the local teams followed. On 21 May official communication regardin the mandates for the different programmes will take place.

 ESPOL: Results from 10 Years of IUC Partnership The IUC partnership with the Escuela Superior Politecnica Del Litoral (ESPOL) started in 1998 and was spread over 10 years. VLIR-UOS is very pleased with the impact and the benefits of the cooperation and hopes to achieve the same or better results with the other partner programmes.
Now ESPOL collected stories from people who are or were involved in the IUC programme, in order to draw lessons from them. This resulted in the attractive publication 'Lessons Learned - Story Telling Guide', edited both in English and Spanish (available on the bottom of this page).
